A shopping centre in the heart of town
Integrating a shopping centre right in the heart of town was the challenge successfully undertaken by the AU4G Parisian architects’ office in Brest.
The Espace Jaurès plays the modernity and conviviality card and takes its rightful place, discreetly and respectfully, in its urban environment.
The deliberate choice of a corner building, not straight but curved, meant that square metres could be «given back to the city», which also meant that a small square at the foot of the building became a public place full of life and spirit.
